Want to save over $200 a year on coffee?

A few years back my brother and sister in law handed down their old espresso machine to us. We looked at it and thought, oh okay, sure we'll take it and kind of put it on a shelf and forgot about it. We continued to buy lattes or coffees at local espresso joints throughout the week. And then, one day, we thought about getting the espresso machine out and make a latte.

This was the beginning of the end.

The end of purchasing lattes ever again.

Fast forward a few years later and I easily - EASILY - make myself 2-3 lattes a day. If I know I'm going somewhere where a coffee purchase is a possibility, I just make a to-go latte for myself to sip while others are purchasing and drinking their coffees.

And yes, I have even been known to TAKE THIS ESPRESSO MACHINE WITH ME to places so I can make myself a fresh latte. I did it just a few weeks ago when I met with my cousins for a holiday get together - of course I offered to make anyone else a latte but they kind of looked at me like I was crazy and frankly, it is kind of crazy, but who cares? I'm saving tons of money.

Here are the numbers (and honestly I don't get any sort of compensation for recommending these although it would be good if I did)
  • De'Longhi espresso machine - anywhere from $80-95 - http://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-EC155-Espresso-Cappuccino-Maker/dp/B000F49XXG
  • Organic Rain forest Espresso Coffee - 3.5 pounds purchased at Costco for $19 (lasts us about one month)
  • Organic milk - $4/gallon purchased at Costco in a set and it lasts about a week.
  •

I've already converted one of my best friends - will I convert YOU??

Hey, we went camping with friends a few years ago and she brought her espresso maker. We took it out to the picnic table, plugged it into the generator and had fresh, hot mochas every morning. They are pretty awesome, but she is much better at making them than me.
