A few days ago, a commenter on this blog asked me what books would I recommend for vegetable gardening. Granted I've been collecting gardening books for 10+ years now, but I find I refer to these three books over and over again.

| I was given this book in 2011 for my birthday and I love it. Easy interface, simple ways to incorporate homestead principles into your own suburban backyard. It's pretty simplistic so I would definitely get a more comprehensive book from Sunset as a companion. |

| Confession - I don't own this book. But I do check it out from the library every year at the beginning of the season to refer to one or two things. If I find it at Costco, then I'll get it this year. |
