Monday Musings

We're having bi-polar weather up here. One second it is beautiful sun shine, five minutes later pouring rain mixed with hail, then ten minutes later birds are chirping and a warm wind blows, then another ten minutes a dark cloud looms over the valley. I see the sun and I get on my gardening gear and as I'm pulling on my gloves, there is massive windstorms and hail. Guess my garden beds won't get that top dressing of compost today after all.

On the job front and Utah move, we've had sweet N sour. Kind of like another bi-polar situation.
For a couple of weeks, it was looking like a job opportunity locally was opening up
and Jeremy would get it. Although I was bummed about not getting to move
closer to my family, I was happy that the kids would get to stay in their
schools (they are some of the best in the state) and we could stay in this
beautiful Northwest area with all of its hills and forested areas and water.
But as it turned out, Jeremy didn't get the local position.
And the next one available just happens to be in Utah. So folks, what that means
is that it is really looking like the move to Utah is going to happen.
No "for sures" until a few weeks from now.
But until then, I'm busy decluttering, packing up boxes in the garage, getting some painting and refinishing done.
Crossing my fingers - maybe you could cross yours too.
Jackson and I were watching "Extreme Home Makeover" last night and Jackson was marveling at how transformed the family's home was.
I said: "makes you feel lucky that you have such a nice house and have a nice life".
Jackson said: "Yes, but our house could use a few touches"
If you try to call me in the next few weeks - I'll be busy adding touches to the house.

A few touches! That is hilarious. You must do before and after pics which is the best part of any makeover (but often forgotten)
